A villa, located in Middle Yan'an Road of Shanghai, was constructed and owned by a capitalist in the 1940s, and it was nationalized after the founding of PR China. Through the implementation of policy regarding private house, the government returned ownership of part of the villa to the children of the capitalist. The other part of the villa was owned by the state, registered under the name of a property management company, and was rented as public house to six families for living in. A Mr. Li, attracted by the superior location and unique style of it, decided to buy the villa. Mr. Chambers Yang and his team designed the plan of purchase, and provided legal services in the entire process.
