Nanjiren is a well-known brand in the industry of cold-proof underwear. The trademark holder of it successfully obtained from the State Trademark Bureau the registration of series of trademarks of Nanjiren, on basis of which the holder began to franchise its business of sweater. Mr. Zhou from Zhejiang Province was just one of franchisee of this business. However, the franchised trademark was one in the process of application for registration, which brought great difficulties for his business, because the authority had no means to crack down on counterfeit goods regarding this unregistered trademark, which gave rise to conflicts between Mr. Zhou and the franchisor. Mr. Chambers Yang acted as Mr. Zhou’s attorney resolving the conflicts. The issue resulted in a settlement out of court finally.
